Mission
Shakespeare Central’s key mission is to be a place that promotes the great Shakespeare theaters and libraries, and promotes Shakespeare education by showing that Shakespeare’s works speak to all of us, and to contemporary issues. Shakespeare should be available to all the world’s people. By promoting live theater and distributing digital content, curated by experts, Shakespeare Central gives us a way to teach young people about language, story-telling, history, poetry and address issues including: war, love, peace, betrayal, loyalty, issues of class, race and gender.
